The American giant even announced the good news to subscribers, the third round of episodes will come to the platform in 2024. It is a Swedish TV series created by Lisa Ambiorn that combines a young adult story, romance and Royalty: Young Kingdoms.
This young adult fiction follows the relationship between Wilhelm (Edwin Ryding), the heir to the Swedish throne, and Simon (Omar Rudberg), one of his classmates at the famous Hillerska boarding school.
Their secret relationship will cause great turmoil in the educational establishment, but also in the monarchy, Wilhelm will be forced to hide his love for Simon and his homosexuality.
The Young Royals, which could have been inspired by a real Swedish royal and political scandal, quickly won Netflix subscribers and the first two seasons were a real success for the platform.
Suffice to say, Season 3 is highly anticipated for fans, who won’t have to wait any longer after Netflix announced that the series was returning in March 2024 for six new episodes.
But all good things come to an end: Know that the third season of Young Royals will be the last. So how will Wilhelm and Simon’s love story end? We hope it’s on a happy note.
