An alibi spells trouble

At the police station, Martin and Sarah play Gerald himself a recording of Flemish and Gerald’s argument. The latter seems sad to hear the voice of the man he calls his old friend. He says they agreed he would buy her home until Flamand told him he wanted to transfer it to her for life. Gerald admits that he took it badly, but it had been a long time since their bond had been this strong. At the time of Flamand’s death, Gerald says he has an alibi: he was on a hike. Jack and Ryan, whom he met, can attest to that.

While in the hospital, Bastien sneaks up to his father’s bedside, still in a coma. He tells her that her transplant worked, then pleads with her to fight to survive. Gradually John begins to open his eyes. At the same time, in the living room, Benjamin and Victoire reconciled forever. Benjamin apologizes for having a bad reaction when he found out about her abortion, especially after realizing that she was right to hide it from him at the time. Bastien interrupts them to warn his father about waking up.

Benjamin immediately goes to his friend’s bedside. With Bastien back in his room, the pediatrician sets up a video between father and son. Bastien is then able to tell him again that the transplant saved Diego. John calmed down. Now it’s time for him to rest.

At the police station, Sarah questions Jack and Ryan. The latter confirms that they met Gerald during the night and that he helped them set up their tent. The teenagers then confide that Gerald even crashed with them all night. They add that they were woken up by a noise at 5 am. But when they got up two hours later, Gerald was still there.

Sarah decides to go straight to the place where the adults met Gerald. Back at the police station, he informs Martin that his alibi exists. Indeed, it is impossible for Gerald to return between his camp and the Flemish house between 5 am and 7 am. Martin suggests that Gerald called an accomplice. However, according to his bank accounts, he couldn’t afford it. Gerald is acquitted, the police are back at square one.

At the hospital, Benjamin suddenly discovers that John has disappeared from his room. The policeman in charge of monitoring her room reveals that a nurse has come to check on her. But Benjamin knows very well that John had not planned the test. Indeed, it was Gerald, disguised as a nurse, who managed to take John away. He leaves in the laundromat, unconscious. A few minutes later, Benjamin found her. Noticing that he was not breathing anymore, he performed heart massage…

Bart and Adele break up

At the spoon, Mona tells Bart about her ideas for changing the Christmas menu. But the latter does not really listen to him, he is too busy choosing a suit for Adele on the Internet. Mona can’t help but wonder that this is definitely her style. Bart replies that it was his partner who asked him to sue.

Finding nothing online, Bart ends up going to a fancy boutique on set to buy Adele a costume. He then joins Roxanne at the Christmas market to show her around and get her point. Honest, Roxanne says that the suit is not to her taste. Desperate, Bart claims that things are not getting better between him and Adele. Roxanne then tries to find something positive in the situation: she assumes that Adele wants to separate from Eloise, hence her new desires in terms of clothing.

Back home, Bart tells Adele that he found the suit she asked for. The latter explains that he misunderstood his words because he told him that he wanted somewhere else. If Bart feels stupid, Adele is at least touched by his intentions. He offers to accompany the tailor to the store.

Along the way, Bart and Adele discuss their relationship and admit that they are no longer on the same wavelength. Adele expresses her need to get away, needing somewhere else to stop thinking about her twin sister.

Nathan changes his mind

In prison, Soraya tells Bruno that Alexander has agreed to hire her upon his release. If Bruno is happy about it, his lawyer clarifies that they haven’t resolved the housing issue given that Nathan refused to accommodate him. Bruno understands his son’s reasons and refuses to abuse Alexander or Sylvain’s kindness. So Soraya proposes to call associations that will allow her to find a home. But Bruno instead asks him to take steps to get parole.

Soraya immediately alerts Alexander about the situation. The latter talks about it with Sylvain and Chloe. Everyone is desperate to find a way to help Bruno. At the Christmas market, Chloe talks about it with Nathan. The latter still maintains its position. The slave also joins in the conversation and tells the young man that he will never have peace if he lets his father down.

Finally, Nathan goes to his father at the prison to tell him that he agrees to temporarily house him. However, he specifies that this is temporary and it is in his best interest to find another place to live upon his release. Bruno promises it. Nathan also adds that he doesn’t believe her nice words anymore and won’t forgive her.
