The Chamber of Deputies began the first round voting process on tax reform this Friday, after an agreement signed the day before and a few days before the end of the Congress’ work before the parliamentary break.
The text being voted on, signed by deputy Aguinaldo Ribeiro (PP-PB), preserves the central structure of the proposal already analyzed by the Senate, but does not include a series of articles, reducing the differentiated regimes and excluding part of the benefit to the basic food basket.
After the analysis in the first round, deputies will still have to decide on the proposal in a second round of voting.
