Will there be a season 5?
Fans of 9-1-1: The Singles can be assured the series will return for Season 5. Last May, the American channel FOX, which broadcasts the series across the Atlantic, announced the renewal of additional episodes. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait to find out what’s next for the 126th firefighters.
Indeed, according to the information TVLineWhile we’ve all been waiting for the series to return to the air in the spring of 2024, the channel has decided to delay the broadcast of season 5 of 9-1-1: Lone Star until next fall.
ISSUE: Writers’ and actors’ strike that has delayed the resumption of filming on American soap operas. Other bad news: While Fox originally planned to order 18 episodes, 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5 will end up being just 12 episodes.
The Ryan Murphy-created series is still in Fox’s heyday, as it ranks second among the channel’s most-watched dramas after parent series 9-1-1 with an average of 5.9 million viewers.
Also note that the latter, which was canceled at the end of Season 6 by Fox, will join ABC’s programming schedule starting next season for Season 7. The channel’s decision to end 9-1-1, one of the network’s most popular series, is largely financial, with one episode costing more than $9 million to produce.
So you’ll have to be patient to discover Season 5 of 9-1-1: Lone Star on the M6. In the meantime, catch the final two episodes of Season 4 this Saturday, December 16 at 9:10pm on the channel. The first four seasons of the series are available in their entirety on the Disney+ platform.
