“In the late afternoon the combination of the heat and the sea breeze generates thick clouds which cause rain in the form of isolated showers of even strong intensity, but of short duration” specifies the municipal body.

Sunday 17th the day will be very sunny and hot. In the late afternoon, the arrival of the sea breeze facilitates the formation of clouds, which cause isolated rainfall in the capital and Greater São Paulo.

On Monday 18th the scenario will remain the same. Strong, hot sun and the possibility of isolated, rapid rain in the late afternoon, as well as a sultry dawn.

The weather company says so Met Sul, this new heat wave was caused by a very warm air mass coming from northern Argentina and Paraguay to the southern, south-eastern and central-western states of Brazil. It has therefore brought temperatures above or “well above” standards for this time of year in these regions.
