Manu Gavassi releases an 11 minute clip with Pitty and O Terno

Manu Gavassi presented the musical short film “Pronta para Desagradar” on Friday (12/15). The 11-minute work, which features Pitty, members of the band Terno and comedian Esse Menino, presents a critique of the music industry and the impact of public opinion on artists.

In the short film Manu plays a singer who gets tired of the standards imposed by the music industry. Pressured to conform to a specific profile, perform music she doesn’t like, and maintain forced relationships, the protagonist gradually rebels against these expectations. The film highlights the artist’s desire for freedom and authenticity in his career.

Pitty makes a special appearance, performing a version of “Máscara”, one of his most famous hits – in Manu’s tribute to the singer. Tim Bernardes and Biel Basile, from Terno, perform the bossa nova classic “Desafinado,” adding another layer of musical depth to the project. To top it off, Esse Menino, recognized for his sketches, symbolizes critics and “haters” on social media.

Series of short films

This short film is the second in a series of four films created by Gavassi. The first, “Program for the protection of artistic careers”, already underway, introduced the topic of criticism of the music industry. The next short films promise to continue this line of reflection, accompanied by new songs, with the artist in the role of composer, performer-protagonist, screenwriter and director of the project.
