In this scene we are with the Rigaut family. Leticia (Florence Coste) is preparing to leave the family home when Kelly (Axel Dodier) calls her and asks what time she plans to return. A third-year student at the institute wants to talk to him about something.

Neither one nor two, Letitia starts presenting the whole bunch. The assistant director of the institute then asks him to spill the beans immediately rather than let him stress all day. Kelly gives in to her mother’s insistence. Mother and son are sitting.

Kelly is packing her bags!

Then the young woman doesn’t beat around the bush: she informs her mother that she really wants to move in with Lionel (Lucien Bellevue). Kelly explains to him that the couple has been thinking about this for a long time and that it would be a logical next step for them since they have been together for two and a half years.

Kelly also points out that this will allow her and Zachariah (Julien Aluget) to have more privacy as a couple.

Is Leticia ready to live everyday without her daughter?

Letitia remains strangely vulnerable to her daughter’s statement. He finally tells her that he is happy for her, although his head says otherwise. Kelly reassures him: she’s not going to leave the nest for the night, she wanted to talk it over with him before she starts looking for a place to live with Lionel.

After that, Leticia realizes with sadness that this Christmas will be the last one they will spend together. From Kelly’s point of view, nothing will change. But Leticia doesn’t seem to see things the same way. The assistant director of the institute prefers, moreover, to shorten the conversation, which Kelly does not avoid.
