With the advent of the digital age, new business models have emerged resulting from the use of digital platforms and social networks. An example of this is the creator economy.
According to a survey of 1,500 people conducted by IAB Brasil in collaboration with Offerwise in 2023, 79% of respondents consume content developed by digital creators or influencers.
Furthermore, around 92% of those interviewed say they have already put the suggestions or advice of digital content creators into practice in their lives.
According to research by HootSuite, a North American system specialized in brand management on social media, global social media users grew by more than 10% between 2021 and 2022, with 424 million new users in 2021.
In this context, the creator economy has also grown rapidly, going from an estimated revenue of $600,000 in 2012 to $143.8 million in 2020.
