The man of dreams, a new film starring Nicolas Cage, already has a release date in Brazil. The A24 production, distributed by California Filmes, will arrive in Brazilian cinemas on March 28, 2024.
The direction and screenplay are by Kristoffer Borgli, the same director of Sick of Myself, released in 2022.
Synopsis
In The man of dreams, Cage plays Paul Matthews, “an ordinary man with a normal life who, mysteriously, begins to appear in the dreams of people he doesn’t even know. Soon these dreams become nightmares and he must learn to manage this new fame,” reads the synopsis of the film.
According to the summary, the film combines “sour comedy and horror” to narrate the unusual events that occur repeatedly in Paul’s life. The man of dreams It was released in US theaters on November 10 and was well received by critics.
The cast also includes names such as Julianne Nicholson, Michael Cera, Tim Meadows, Dylan Gelula, Dylan Baker and Kate Berlant.
Cage bets on series
During an interview for the Uproxx, Nicolas Cage has expressed a desire to experiment with other types of audiovisual production. He considers working on “three or four more films” before he starts venturing outside the world of cinema.
I’m interested in the immersion of streaming with episodic television. I saw things that can be done with characters and the time they have to express themselves. I saw Bryan Cranston stare at a briefcase for an hour on an episode of Breaking Bad. We don’t have time for that in movies, so maybe television is the next step for me. We will see.

Cage is known for his versatility in the film industry and has said he doesn’t want to retire anytime soon.
