“In Vienna of the Outer Banks and the Elite”: This series is already in the top charts of Netflix after a hit in Belgium!

Every week, the top Netflix has pleasant surprises for us. Movies or series that are among the most watched programs and no one has heard of them.

Thanks to the recommendation algorithm and effective word of mouth, especially on social networks, Knokke Off is part of this category. After broadcasting in Belgium in May 2023, he was able to take advantage of the free publicity stunt.

This Flemish production, which recently landed on the platform, takes us to the seaside town of Knokke. During a hectic summer on the Belgian coast, a group of wealthy friends face the harsh realities of adulthood, the struggle between love and societal pressures.

There’s nothing original about Knokke Off on paper, but the teen series is clearly growing on the streaming platform. With an above average rating of 3.1/5 currently, it falls well short of other equivalent products such as Elite or Newport Beach.

A hit like Knokke Off has been renewed for a 2nd season, due to air across the border in late 2024, with a possible launch on Netflix in 2025.
