Harry Potter 8: Press pause at 58 minutes and 2 seconds. Have you noticed this creature?

The famous Harry Potter saga adapted from the works of JK Rowling is one of the most profitable franchises in the history of cinema. As is often the case with such monuments of pop culture, the various films that make it up hide a lot of details that are hidden from the viewer’s attention by the filmmakers.

Whether you’re looking for a sly cameo from Dobby the house elf in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, a little nod to the Starbucks logo in Order of the Phoenix or the Quidditch crest with Minerva McGonagall’s name in the first row. Part of the magical saga is full of easter eggs that you can have fun tracking down throughout the movies.

Today, let’s jump right into the end of the franchise with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, which airs tonight on TF1. As with all the adventures of a young wizard – and especially those in which we visit the famous Room of Requirement – there are many hidden details in this final part.

Ali Baba’s real cave, the Room of Requirement, this huge magical room at Hogwarts is literally filled with all kinds of objects. The most observant could already see the harp used to put Tofu to sleep, or the chess queen’s armor, earlier in the saga.

Fairly easy to spot, the wink we’re interested in is at 58 minutes and 2 seconds into the final film, with Harry walking alone among giant piles of antiques stored in a room. This is where you can see, standing at the top of the frame, one of the Cornish leprechauns that Gilderoy Lockhart used during his Defense Against the Dark Arts course in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

Could this little creature find refuge in the Room of Requirement after the professor’s disastrous lesson in Opus II?

Did you notice any other interesting winks in the same scene?
