The first part of the last season of The Crown returned to the final days of Princess Diana, before her tragic car accident near Alma Bridge on August 31, 1997. The other part, as far as she was concerned, was interested in the life of Prince William. And Harry, a few years after the tragedy.
But the opening scene of episode 9 reminded me of the accident, during a TV interview given by Mohamed Al-Fayed. In the series, played by Salim Dow, an Egyptian billionaire claims to have new evidence of the existence of military equipment based on flashes, which he says are used to blind the driver of a car.
During the same interview, Al-Fayed claims that Dodd and Princess Diana are engaged (which the first episode of season 6 denies), but also that the princess was pregnant at the time of the accident.
Dracula’s royal family
Even more seriously, Mohammed al-Fayed openly accuses the royal family of orchestrating this car accident, saying that the mother of the future king of England did not allow him to marry a Muslim. “It was a murder, a massacre, committed by Dracula’s royal family. These people are gangsters.” He declares in this order.
Due to the evidence that the billionaire claims to have on the real circumstances of the accident, a new investigation has been launched under the name of Operation Paget. A careful study of the car was organized, a reconstruction of the accident was organized and relatives of the victims, including Prince William, were interviewed.
Mohammed al-Fayed attacks Prince Philip during a TV interview:
In general, these facts are quite authentic. It is true that Mohammed al-Fayed led a disinformation campaign for years until his death on August 30, 2023. Expelled from British territory in 2003, after moving to Switzerland, he continued to defame the royal family and the British secret services.
As for expression “Dracula’s Royal Family”, there are no archives to prove that the billionaire actually made such comments against the Windsors. But this insult does not come completely out of nowhere, because the current King Charles III is a distant descendant of Vlad III Teves, the main source of inspiration for the vampire Dracula!
