Rebel Moon on Netflix: When is this year’s most anticipated streaming movie coming out?

Netflix treats its subscribers at the end of the year with two quite prestigious releases that are opposite to each other: Maestro – the latest from Bradley Cooper, which may win prizes at the following ceremonies – and Rebel Moon, a science fiction. A movie like Platform is rarely offered.

Announced on Friday, December 22nd, Zack Snyder’s new production will finally be released the night before in the US so that subscribers can watch it in prime time. In France, you’ll have to wait until 4 a.m. (compared to the usual 9 a.m.) to discover Sofia Boutella in this new American production.

But what exactly is it about? A peaceful colony on a distant moon is suddenly threatened by a tyrant army and places all hope of survival in the hands of a mysterious stranger.

Rebel Moon offers a cast as diverse as it is intriguing: in addition to Boutella, there are Charlie Hunnam, Michiel Huisman, Ed Skrein, Duna Bay (Sense8) and even former Cyborg from DC, Ray Fisher.

Viewership for this space opera will be closely watched by Netflix, which spent more than $166 million on the first two installments and hopes to turn it into its new sci-fi franchise.

The second part will be released on the platform on April 19, and two longer versions – called the Director’s Cut and which will exceed 3 hours – will also be offered at the end of the year.
