For the final holidays of the year, Disney+ is breaking with its programming habits and offering a real-life Advent calendar aimed at fans of the Marvel franchise. Subscribers will be able to discover the second season of the animated series Marvel’s What If this Friday, December 22nd, a program that explores the alternate continuity of the MCU.
Thus, the first season of the series imagined a world where Peggy Carter would inherit the super soldier serum instead of Steve Rogers, where Hank Pym would join the villain camp, where T’Challa would become Star-Lord. Peter Quill, or where Ultron would become super-powered by getting hold of the Infinity Stones.
What new surprises does Marvel’s What If Season 2 have in store? Among the heroes expected in these nine new episodes are Peggy Carter, T’Challa and Nebula, as well as Tony Stark and the Hulk (with a beard???) or the ultimate villain, Thanos. Of course, Uatu, the Guardian of the Alternate Continuity, will also be back!
The trailer images also announce an episode centered around a race that brings together the MCU’s main characters (Marvel-flavored Mario Kart, every fan’s dream!), but also what promises to be a special Christmas episode designed as a parody. The movie The Crystal Trap with Happy Hogan and Darcy Lewis, two supporting characters that fans adore.
Season 2 of Marvel’s What If can be seen on Disney+ one episode per day this Friday, December 22nd.
