STREAMING: Zahia and Gossip Girl Star in New French TV Series That Raises Temperatures on Prime Video

This Friday, December 22nd, Prime Video launched Escort Boys, an ambitious series created by Ruben Alves, behind La Cage Dorée and Miss. Comprised of 6 episodes, this fiction takes us to the Camargue and follows four friends, played by Guillaume Labbe, Simon Erlacher, Corentin Filla and Thibaut Eurard, who decide to start an escort business to escape their troubles.

Over the course of 6 episodes, our four heroes will meet many women who ask for their services. Special customers are performed by a host of actors well known to the general public.

Between Kelly Rutherford (Serena’s mom in Gossip Girl), Rosie De Palma, Amanda Lear and Zahia, to name a few, Ruban Alves, director and screenwriter of Escort Boys, managed to bring the stars to this very sultry series.

A few weeks ago, Ruben Alves met on AlloCiné and explained how he managed to convince these actors to join the project.

“They are smart women”

If we thought it would be difficult to convince A-list actors to take part in a series about escorts, it seems that Ruben Alves had no trouble getting them on board. “They are all intelligent women who understand the point and what I wanted to protect“, he explained.

For example, for Zahia, because of her image, her background and her relationship with Badrag, she immediately understood. Its appearance is eye-catching. He has a lot of humor, he is smart. He accepted immediately.“. As for Amanda Lear and Pascal Arbillot, Ruben Alves has already worked with them on previous projects.

Kelly Rutherford as an American businessman

In episode 4 of Escort Boys, the character played by Simon Erlacher meets a powerful American businessman who will use his services. The role was taken by Kelly Rutherford, star of Gossip Girl and Melrose Place. An unexpected event that happened by chance.

I met Kelly Rutherford at an opening in Paris. We were both looking at the painting and I thought I knew this woman. Then I said to myself, “Ah, but yes, Melrose Place.”

And I was only writing a role for an American. So I went to see him and explained that I was writing a TV series and needed an American actor. I asked him if I could send him the script and he agreed. The next day he called me and said: “I want to do it, I love it.” It happened very naturally

Season 1 of Escort Boys is now available on Prime Video.
