Directed by Carol Polakoff, it tells the story of writer Alan Jolis.
Paris 1965. Maruja and Manolo live in Paris, after 30 years exiled from Spain. They work in the service of an American ambassador: The Jolis family. This year, Maruja decides to confront her past, for this she embarks on a journey with Manolo and Alan Jolis, to her origins; Spain. A journey in which she will have to make sure that young Alan grows up to be a good man. Manolo and Alan, in turn, will learn to enjoy their present and focus on the future. This journey will not only be physical but also deeply emotional for all of them.
This is the plot of ‘The voice of the sun’the film directed by Carol Polakoff and starring Carmen Machi and Karra Elejalde and that portrays the true story of Alan Jolis, which he captured in his novel ‘Speak Spunlight’.
With a cast completed by the young actor Matteo Artuñedo and Ahikar Azcona, the film will be shot over the next few months in different locations in Madrid, Segovia, Toledo, Pamplona, Estella and Gallipienzo.
