The new episode of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” is now with us! In fact, here we are super happy that this beauty has been launched. After all, Todateen had early access to the episodes and we were trying not to release any spoilers!
However, in the third episode of the new adaptation of Rick Riordan’s books we finally got the long-awaited Medusa scene. In the film, the trio’s battle against the monster brought laughs and certainly made history. This is because the son of Poseidon killed Medusa by making her see her reflection on the back of an iPod. It’s easy?
However, with an adaptation that was more faithful to the books and based on the author’s vision, we currently had a big change. In the series we see a scene with less action (and iconic moments like the iPod). However, at the same time, we see a show of genius from Percy Jackson with the invisibility cap, while Medusa’s manipulation is much more subtle. We confess that we almost fell for it!
And, of course, the new version of the iconic scene has divided opinion among Percy Jackson fans across the Internet.

“Using Annabeth’s hat to make Medusa invisible and defeat her without looking is way smarter than using an iPod and way better than that scene from the Peter Johnson movie will ever be,” one user said on Twitter.
