Vasco will not have Ivan in 2024. The goalkeeper intends to have more opportunities next year and preferred to continue his career in another team. Cruz-Maltino wanted to keep the player, but understood the athlete’s position.
Ivan has a contract with Corinthians until December 2025, but will not return to the Sao Paulo club. The goalkeeper has advanced negotiations to defend América-MG next season.
In 2023, Ivan was loaned to Vasco, but played only four matches, being Léo Jardim’s backup throughout the season. If he had played 30 games, Cruz-Maltino would have had the obligation to buy the goalkeeper.
Without Ivan, Vasco has goalkeepers Léo Jardim and Halls in their squad.
