The Zenit midfielder was in Rubro-Negro’s sights in 2023
One of the hottest attractions of the Maracanã for the “Game of the Stars”, the midfielder Claudinho, of the Russian Zenit, confirmed that Flamengo presented a proposal in the last transfer window, but the negotiation did not conclude. The player has a contract with the Russian club until July 2027.
Rubro-Negro had offered 10 million euros, but Zenit wanted 25 million euros (R$130 million at the time) to agree to sell Claudinho. Flamengo recently announced midfielder De La Cruz, purchased from River Plate for $16 million (R$77.7 million).
