The profession of medicine is a virtue and must be taken seriously to help other people, this is what anesthesiology resident Kang Shi-young (Lee Se-young) thinks of the profession. Although she is a promising professional, she decides to move away from her hospital residency to overcome a past trauma. Meanwhile, she decides to work part-time in a penitentiary to test her skills.
Shi-young is a kind-hearted doctor, who inherited her mother’s talent and her father’s empathy, both of whom were doctors. However, she is the exact opposite of Cha Yo-han (Ji Sung), an inmate at the prison where she works. Yo-han is arrogant, but her terrible temper is inversely proportional to his excellent ability to diagnose people: it only takes him 10 seconds to find out what’s wrong with other people.
The doctor is enchanted by her talent and is interested in her story, which reveals that he was a doctor in the specialty she studied during her residency. Three years later, she decides to resume her studies to specialize in anesthesiology and she has a big surprise: she Yo-han has been released from prison and works at the hospital where she will study.
