This Barry Keoghan and Jacob Ellord thriller follows Oliver, a poor student at Oxford University, and a date. Felix, the richest and most popular student. Their summer at the Saltburn home owned by Felix’s parents turns out to be hell for all these little people.
Intense, daring, provocative and imbued with black humor, this film leaves no one indifferent. Many viewers highlight the performance of its main actor, Barry Keoghan, while others focus on many noteworthy scenes that have become a real topic of conversation on social networks – such as the famous bathroom scene.
Available from December 22 on Prime Video worldwide, salt burn Seen by more than 20 million subscribers and ranked on the platform in more than 54 countries. In France, it reached the fourth place.
Further evidence of the Saltburn phenomenon: renewed interest in Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s hit, Murder on the dance floor. Used in the film’s explosive final scene, the song, which was released in December 2001, is making a strong comeback on music platforms. It peaked at number 20 on Spotify in the UK.
A success that reminds us of that running up the hillKate Bush’s title hit the charts after the release of Stranger Things season 4. One thing is clear: we haven’t heard the last of Saltburn.
