After a very challenging 2023 in which the Netflix launched some of the most successful series of the year, the platform is now preparing for a 2024 that also promises to give something to talk about. Its calendar for the next twelve months brings with it adaptations and news that have been widely publicized since streaming – in addition, of course, to the long-awaited new seasons of shows already underway.
Titles like Griseldaa crime miniseries starring Sofía Vergara, and The 3-body problema science fiction series based on Cixin Liu’s trilogy, are just some of the highlights of the program, which also includes the third season of Bridgerton and the fourth and final season of The Umbrella Academy.

10. Brothers of the sun
Satirical action and comedy series, Sun Brothers will debut January 4 on Netflix. With Michelle Yeoh (Everything everywhere at the same time), the series follows a family of Taiwanese mobsters whose mother and youngest son decide to move to the United States to start their lives over. A tranquility that ends, however, when the patriarch of the family is seriously injured and the eldest son travels to Los Angeles to introduce the youngest into the life of a gangster.
With mostly Asian writers and cast, which includes names like Justin Chien (Lunar Sun), Sam Song Li (Hostages of the night) and Highdee Kuan (The presence), Sun Brothers will have eight episodes.
9. Griselda
Crime drama miniseries, Griselda arrives on January 25th in the streaming catalog. Based on the life of Griselda Blanco, a famous Colombian drug trafficker, the production chronicles the rise of the drug empire built by the “Godmother” (the nickname by which the criminal was known), in Miami in the 1970s and 1980s.
From the same creators and producers of Narcosthe show stars Sofía Vergara (Modern family) and features the singer Karol G. Griselda There will be six episodes in total.
8. Avatar: The Last Airbender
Live-action series based on the famous anime Avatar: The Last Airbender, Avatar: The Last Airbender arrives on February 22nd on the platform. Set in a universe inspired by the culture of Asian peoples, the title follows in the footsteps of a twelve-year-old boy who needs to keep the planet safe, balancing the four existing elements and nations: water, earth, fire and air.
Action and fantasy production with Gordon Cormier (A Christmas among the stars), the series will consist of eight episodes.
7. The 3-body problem
Based on the book trilogy by Cixin Liu, The 3-body problem is a science fiction series that arrives on the platform on March 21st. Initially set in the late 1960s, the plot follows an astrophysicist who, after her father’s murder, joins a secret project investigating extraterrestrials and makes a decision that will echo more than 50 years later in all humanity.
Developed by David Benioff and DB Weiss, the same creators of game of Thronesthe series stars Zine Tseng and the star of HadJohn Bradley.
6. Young royals
The third and final season of Young royalsa Swedish teen drama series, arrives on Netflix in March 2024. Set in Hillerska boarding school, the series follows the new life of Prince Wilhelm (Edvin Ryding) as he begins studying at the institute and falls in love with young Simon (Omar Rudberg ), a poor classmate and scholarship student.
Very focused on class differences, the plot has been one of the biggest highlights for teenagers in the platform’s catalog and has everything it takes to deliver a result that lives up to its fans’ expectations.
5. Bridgerton
The third season of Bridgerton, a historical series based on the books written by Julia Quinn, will have its first four episodes available on Netflix on May 16 and its final four on June 13. Produced by Shonda Rhimes, its story takes place at the beginning of the 19th century and highlights, in each of its seasons, a specific character from the Bridgerton family and their respective couple.
This new year, the show will be about Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin (Luke Newton), the “Polin” couple, without leaving aside characters like Anthony (Jonathan Bailey), Kate (Simone Ashley) and Lady Violet (Ruth Gemmell) . .
4. Arcane
The second season of Arcanean action-adventure series set in the universe of League of Legends, arrives November 2024 on the streaming service. Made in collaboration with Riot Games, the animation follows the different paths taken by sisters Vi and Jinx when a technology Magic is discovered and brings the cities of Piltover and Zaun into conflict.
Winner of nine Annie Awards, its first season arrived on the platform in 2021, achieving great success for both its graphic quality and gripping plot.
3. The Umbrella Academy
The fourth and final season of The Umbrella Academy, a series based on the comics by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá, will arrive in 2024 on Netflix. On air since 2019, the production revolves around seven children, all born on the same day and gifted with unusual powers, adopted by a tycoon who begins training them as a team of superheroes.
With a cast that includes names like Elliot Page (Juno) and Kate Walsh (Private practice), the new season of The Umbrella Academy no details of its plot have yet been revealed.
2. Crime Tycoon

Series derived from the 2020 film of the same name, Crime tycoon is a crime film coming to the streaming service in 2024. Created by Guy Ritchie, director of the feature film, the title follows young Eddie (Theo James) as he discovers that he has inherited a property from his father that is part of a marijuana cultivation empire.
With eight episodes of approximately 1 hour each, the series will focus on different characters from the film, having already confirmed the names of Kaya Scodelario (Maze runner) and Giancarlo Esposito (breaking Bad) in its cast.
1. Ripley

Based on the book The talented Ripleyby Patricia Highsmith, Ripley is a psychological thriller miniseries scheduled to hit streaming in 2024. Set in 1960s New York, it follows in the footsteps of a very skilled man named Tom Ripley (Andrea Scott), when he is hired to go to Italy and convince the rebellious son of a tycoon to return home.
With Johnny Flynn (Emma) and Dakota Fanning (Flames of revenge), the production conceived, written and directed by Steven Zaillian (The Great Illusion) will have eight episodes.
