Marvel has released a behind-the-scenes video of “Echo” with testimonials from the cast and creator, which emphasizes the action scenes of the new Marvel series. Commenting on the various fights glimpsed in the preview, director Sydney Freeland (“Star Trek: Strange New Worlds”) says she is “excited for audiences to see how real this series is.” But it’s Vincent D’Onofrio, who returns to play Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin, who defines him best: “he IS intense, man!”
“Echo” follows Maya Lopez, a character introduced in “Hawkeye.” She is a deaf Native American superhero who has the ability to imitate any opponent’s fighting style. The plot will also feature characters from the “Daredevil” series, such as the aforementioned Wilson Fisk and the hero Daredevil himself, played once again by Charlie Cox.
The premiere is scheduled for January 9th at 11pm (Brasilia time), with the release of all five episodes at the same time.
