No-knead quiche: use leftover poultry, it’s excellent


A no-knead quiche to prepare with courgettes and turkey breast or with poultry leftovers (turkey, chester, chicken). It looks fantastic

A quiche without dough, but with the flavor of the traditional recipe

Recipe for 4 people.

cup = 240 ml, spoon = 15 ml, teaspoon = 10 ml, teaspoon = 5 ml

Ingredients for the courgettes

– 2 pieces of courgettes, coarsely grated (remove the core with the seeds)

– 1/2 onion(s), cut into half moons

– 2 tablespoons olive oil (or oil)

– Salt to taste

– pepper to taste

Quiche ingredients

– 4 units of eggs

– 400 ml of fresh cream

– 2 tablespoons wheat flour (flat)

– 1 teaspoon(s) of chemical baking powder

– 150 g of Gruyere cheese, or other cheese of your choice, coarsely grated

– 18 slices of smoked turkey breast

– Salt to taste

– pepper to taste

– nutmeg to taste

– 4 tablespoons of grated parmesan for sprinkling

– unsalted butter to taste to grease the baking dish

PREPARATION:

1. Separate all the ingredients and utensils for the recipe.

2. Start by browning the courgettes, as they need to cool (see preparation).

3. Clean, chop and cut the other ingredients.

4. Coarsely grate the cheese.

5. Grease the refractory materials with butter.

6. Preheat the oven to 240ºC.

PREPARATION:

Courgettes (this step must be done before continuing the pre-preparation):

1. Coarsely grate the courgettes lengthwise to obtain long strips.

2. In a pan, sauté the onion in olive oil until translucent.

3. Add the courgettes and brown them quickly.

4. Season with salt and pepper.

5. Turn off the heat, remove from the pan and leave to cool.

6. Continue pre-preparation.

Quiche:

1. In a bowl, mix the flour with the yeast.

2. Add ¼ of the amount of cream and milk and whisk to dissolve the flour without leaving lumps.

3. Add the eggs and mix, without beating, until incorporated.

4. Add the remaining cream.

5. Add the sautéed courgettes, turkey breast strips and grated Gruyére cheese and mix.

6. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.

7. Transfer to greased molds and sprinkle with parmesan.

8. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.

APPETITE OR DESSERT (optional):

If you choose to prepare an appetizer or dessert, take advantage of the oven time to prepare it.

FINALIZATION AND ASSEMBLY:

1. Remove the quiche from the oven and serve it immediately in a baking dish.
