Netflix brings back the director after a 10-year hiatus for Stranger Things
As film journalist Jeff Sneider reports on The InSneider, Darabont is currently negotiating with Netflix to direct two episodes of the fifth season of Stranger Things. Sneider is considered a well-informed person whose exclusive revelations often turn out to be factual.
It is not yet known which episodes are involved nor what the plot of the chapters will be. Darabont last appeared in the public eye in 2013 with the series Chaotic city and in the meantime he only worked as an anonymous screenwriter on films such as The Huntsman and the Ice Queen. His films are considered an inspiration in particular for the first seasons of Stranger Things.
