Box office: bets 2024
After experiencing the Barbenheimer phenomenon, it’s really difficult to look at so many releases with blockbuster potential and bet on one, especially since it’s unlikely that any of these films, even if some are highly anticipated, will reach the huge number of moviegoers. However, considering some classic franchises and the Internet’s interest in certain news throughout the year, we have some bets: Deadpool 3, Gladiator 2, Joker 2 AND Mufasa: The Lion King.

Other famous franchises that can also be successful include Planet of the Apes: Reign, The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim, Inside out 2, Despicable Me 4 AND Poison 3 – Disney recently confirmed this Deadpool 3 it would be the only release under the Marvel label in 2024, however, everything indicates that it will be the sequel Poison remains on schedule, despite only being scheduled for later this year.
It is worth mentioning that the feat of increasing box office sales from sequels to older franchises is difficult to achieve, especially when it comes to the horror genre and, more currently, heroes. In general, the trend is for a decrease in revenue, as is the case in Hunger Games, which has declined in the last three films, although it still has good numbers and an average audience: a very different scenario for History of the toyfor example, which has seen its box office soar over the years.
In an interview with Flávia Guerra, host of the Plano Geral podcast and columnist for Splash UOL, explained that the average audience is as important as the general public.
There must be a film with an average audience for the health of the circuit. You can’t just have a phenomenon, because it doesn’t exist, it’s a utopia, but you also can’t have a phenomenon and everything else have a bad audience. Average box office films don’t do badly, it’s good because it keeps the circuit moving.
