After accusing Lula of debts amounting to 40 million reals, Alexandre Correa once again taunts the president online

Alexandre Correa has published research highlighting a decline in sales in Brazilian stores during the Christmas period. Find out more details.

Alessandro Correa is back criticizing President Lula on his social networks, weeks after blaming “the start of the current government” Of exorbitant debts owed to companies he owns in partnership with his ex-wife, Ana Hickmann. OR the businessman and presenter were confirmed voters of Jair Bolsonaro.

Alexandre published the news that Christmas 2023 recorded the worst movement in three years for trade. The headline published by the entrepreneur reads: “The crisis is getting bigger and bigger… With the Lula government, Christmas sales are the worst in recent years.” In the caption, Ana Hickmann’s ex simply wished her followers goodnight.

The research in question was carried out by Serasa Experian and indicates a drop in sales of 1.4% between 18 and 24 December, compared to the same period in 2022.

The survey measures consumer movement only in physical stores through the number of CPFs consulted during the purchase or credit application phase. The survey does not take into account the value of sales.

Serasa Experian’s chief economist, Luiz Rabi, attributes the drop in sales to two factors: the first is the fact that December 24 fell on a Sunday, a naturally weak day for trade; the second is the record number of defaults in 2023, which may have led many people to use their 13th paycheck to pay off debt and not prioritize holiday shopping.
