The team finished first in Group D by scoring 2-0 against Italy. First Adrian Mannarino beat Lorenzo Sonego for a double 6/4. Then, Caroline Garcia, former top 10 and currently 20th, worked hard against Jasmine Paolini, 29th, but ended the match 6/4 5/7 6/4 after 2h16min.
The French team will face Casper Ruud’s Norway, who finished first in Group F thanks to the average of the game after a draw in victories, games won and average of sets of all three teams.
