Netflix: Did you like Rebel Moon? 3 more Zack Snyder movies available on the platform!

It’s a worldwide hit, but it’s also a divisive film. Available on Netflix, Rebel Moon is a new production from Zack Snyder. Originally conceived as a spin-off of the Star Wars saga, this two-part feature film marks the launch of an ambitious intergalactic franchise.

But Zack Snyder didn’t wait for Rebel Moon to make a name for himself with moviegoers. In addition, three other films of the American director are also available on Netflix. Starting with 300, his second feature film was shot in 2006. This ultra-stylish peplum is an adaptation of Frank Miller’s graphic novel of the same name.

300 tells the story of the Spartan army commanded by King Leonidas. These few hundred warriors stood up to the Persian forces during the Battle of Plataea, despite being vastly outnumbered by the enemy. This film also introduced Gerard Butler to the public, now one of the biggest action movie stars.

Damn Zack Snyder movie

The Justice League movie is also available on the platform. Although not among his most popular, this DC Comics feature film holds a special place in Zack Snyder’s filmography, especially since the version offered on Netflix is ​​definitely not his.

During production, Zack Snyder actually stepped down after a family tragedy struck his family. Joss Whedon, who was hired to finish the film, was eventually commissioned to shoot additional scenes to change the tone of the story, which the studio deemed too dark.

That hybrid version, which hit theaters in late 2017, flopped, marking the beginning of the end of the Snyderverse—the name given to the DC Comics franchise that was launched by Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel. The director’s work has since seen the light of day, thanks to the unconditional support of the director’s fans and has rehabilitated the director’s work in the eyes of a section of the public.

Finally, Zack Snyder’s third film, also available on Netflix, is Army of the Dead. This zombie film marks the filmmaker’s new foray into the horror genre, almost twenty years after his first feature…Army of the Dead (despite the similarity of their names, the two films are not related).

This zombie-infested Las Vegas heist was the subject of a prequel to Army of Thieves (produced by Snyder, also available on Netflix), but plans to expand the franchise were eventually shelved while the filmmaker devoted himself to developing his new saga.

The first part of Rebel Moon is now available on Netflix, and the second – called L’Entailleuse – will be available from April 19.
