The new Moto G34 arrives in Brazil as a surprise and highlights the 120 Hz screen, the presence of factory Android 14 and the sale of two versions
Less than a month after revealing it in ChinaTHE Motorola brought by surprise to Brazil this Thursday (4) the Moto G34 5G, the brand’s new basic mobile phone that attracts attention for its design, available here in two versions, which vary depending on the memory options. The smartphone also stands out for its Snapdragon chip processing, 5G connectivity and for having left the factory with Android 14.
- Galaxy A35 appears with a probable appearance and is expected to have new cameras
- The Redmi Note 13 line is about to reach the global market
The Moto G34 debuts adopting Motorola’s new visual language, revealed by the leaks, with straight sides and flat front and back panels, plus an eye-catching camera module that takes up the entire top left corner of the device. Interestingly, two versions of the phone were brought to Brazil: one with a matte plastic finish in black and blue colors and the other with a fabric covering that imitates leather in shades of green and beige. Each has different memory and storage configurations.
For processing, the debut mobile phone relies on a modest set with the Snapdragon 695 chip from Qualcomm, already seen on other devices in the line and inside too Edge 30 Neo, which might be a more interesting option considering the somewhat high price of the Moto G34. The platform is accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and 128GB in the plastic model, and 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage in the fabric variant. In both cases it is possible to install a MicroSD card of up to 1 TB.

The screen is also basic, but has good specifications for the category. We have a 6.5 inch IPS LCD panel, with HD+ resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The average brightness is 500 nits and, even if the device focuses on low cost, there is the support for HDR content in the HDR10+ standard. Completing the multimedia consumption experience is the stereo sound system with Dolby Atmos spatial audio.
The photography set is another area that offers the essentials, with a main lens with a 50 MP sensor and f/1.8 aperture, accompanied by a dedicated 2 MP macro lens. For selfies, the phone uses a 16MP sensor, housed in a punch-hole centered on the display.
The battery is a strong point of the Moto G34, which features a 5,000 mAh cell: combined with the modest technical data sheet, the component should guarantee ample autonomy. There is fast charging, but the speed is not entirely clear. Motorola mentions 20W charger included in the box, but the Chinese model only supports 18W of power. This is likely to also be the case with the Brazilian device, which could simply take advantage of the adapter already produced domestically.
Furthermore, the new entry-level mobile phone from Motorola is equipped with 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 5 Dual Band, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC Compatible with payments, fingerprint reader integrated into the side power button and Android 14, being one of the first versions in Brazil to leave the factory with the latest version of the operating system. On the other hand, there is no promise of updates.
