Part of the filming took place in the fall of 2021 in space, on board the ISS. Now the scenes are filmed in Moscow and the Moscow region. Filming will take place on the territory of the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center and the Voronovo sanatorium. A separate block of filming will take place in a specially created pavilion with a built copy of the Mission Control Center.

At the same time, there was a replenishment in the main cast – Milos Bikovich joined Yulia Peresild and Vladimir Mashkov. He will play a surgeon – a colleague of the heroine Peresild.

I am honored to be a part of the Challenge project,” Milos said. – Not only because this is the first film that was shot in space, not only because it is a unique movie that will go down in history with its fact of existence, not only because my colleagues did the impossible, and not only because the creators of the project are my friends, the team , with whom we together released successful and beloved by the audience films, such as “Kholop”, “I want to marry”, “Hotel Belgrade” and “Without Borders”, but also because the film “Challenge” is based on an exciting plot, a story that interesting even if it wasn’t filmed in space. This is a movie about people, about heroic deeds and overcoming oneself, and, of course, about love.”

Recall that actress Yulia Peresild and director Klim Shipenko flew into space to shoot several scenes of the film “The Challenge” on October 5 last year, together with cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. After 12 days they returned – on October 17 at 7:35 am, the first film crew in history landed in Kazakhstan.

In the future picture YulIya plays a female surgeon who had to fly into space to perform an operation on one of the astronauts. Crew training began in June and included testing in a centrifuge, familiarization and training flights on an airplane in zero gravity, parachuting, and working out emergency situations.

The soundtrack for the film was recorded by 12-year-old Anka Peresild, the daughter of Yulia Peresild and Alexei Uchitel. This is her debut track.
