Viewer rating: 3.3/5
According to Lia (5/5):
Another highly successful adaptation of the King of Suspense, Harlan Coben’s novel. An excellent mini-series with a gripping and mysterious plot from the first episode and which will turn our brains to the end. Quality production and good interpretation. the most!
According to Lionel33000 (4/5):
The new British detective series, based on Harlan Coben’s novel, is a lot of fun, 8 episodes and a good plot that keeps us hooked until the end. A very good distribution of roles to experience this strange story. Coben, mystery, several intrigues, many characters for our greatest pleasure.
According to Spider Cineman (3.5/5):
“A nice surprise for this Netflix investigative series, scripted from Harlan Coben’s novel, well executed in this rather fluid production, casting that gets the job done. Addictive enough to spend a weekend on it.”
why does it work
Adapted from Harlan Coben’s novels, the series has always been a hit on Netflix. The double trap is no exception. But this 8-episode thriller has all the ingredients to delight subscribers: secrets, revelations that unfold drop by drop, a heroine who doesn’t give up and who knows more than meets the eye. In short, he did not steal the first place.
Number 2: Berlin

In full glory, Berlin gathers his talented teammates in Paris to carry out one of the most ambitious projects: to steal 44 million euros worth of jewelry in one night.
A spin-off/prequel to “La Casa De Papel” centered on the Berlin character.
Viewer rating: 2.9/5
According to Jean N (1/5):
“Madre de Dios is bad!! What a shame Netflix wants to ride the success of La Casa de Papel by rehashing a Berlin character!! At least try to do it well instead of giving us a fake rehash from Paris. Another Emily Truffle in Paris!!
It’s bullshit, the characters aren’t lovable, the heists are disgusting, and we don’t care about love stories!!! Everything is inconsistent and unreliable! Total failure, well done Netflix!!!”
According to Vanessa W (3/5):
“What a disappointment! Berlin is very good in his role, but we can’t find anything about the others, who are quickly mistaken. The image is beautiful, the decor, the color, Paris, the costumes, the atmosphere, but not us. You can’t find the right music, the rhythm.
I appreciated the touches of humor, but cringed at the many inconsistencies. Nothing beats water in romance and robbery. Nothing technically believable…as always, you could say…but it doesn’t deserve more than a 3 here.”
According to lia (5/5):
“I really fell in love with this excellent spin-off of La Casa de Papel. It’s light, rhythmic and ingenious. The characters are very likable and well acted. I really liked the good amount of romance that is introduced in this prequel and there are small touches of humor. Also, The photography and imagery of Paris is superb and the same goes for the soundtrack 😍”
why does it work
The global success of La Casa de Papel gave ideas to Netflix, which wanted to expand the world of Spanish cardboard with a spin-off centered on one of the most popular characters: Berlin, played by Pedro Alonso. And it pays! This prequel won the platform subscribers.
Which is not surprising, since this derivative series uses more or less the same ingredients as La Casa de Papel: a special heist, a lovable group, a breakneck pace, spectacular twists, crazy action, all of which are not insignificant next to the postcard as the series unfolds. .. in Paris!
Number 3: Brothers Sun

Viewer Rating:
According to Frank W (4.5/5):

According to Chromaria (4/5):
“It’s a great series, a well-crafted action comedy with good actors. The fight scenes are well choreographed and the comedy scenes are not that heavy.”
According to Lecter_H (3.5/5):
“Yes, it’s generally quite light and sometimes superficial, but we assume that everything, before reality, is speculation. I was able to watch some good entertainment that doesn’t require much effort and that I recommend just for fun.”
why does it work
Combining comedy and action by reusing codes friend movie, The Sun Brothers brings together a large audience that wants an entertaining and rhythmic story. One of the great pleasures of this program is finding Michelle Yeoh – Oscar winner in 2023 for Everything, Everywhere at Once – in her most explosive role.

Netflix pulls off a nice twist with Bien dans son plate on both a public health and financial issue, both of which affect absolutely everyone!
Number 5: My Life with the Walter Boys

After losing her family in an accident, 15-year-old Jackie Howard, a young girl from Manhattan, must adjust to a new life in Colorado with her guardian – and 10 very rowdy boys.
Viewer rating: 3.8/5
According to Bebe-blonde (5/5):
“Teenage comedy, the way we like it. It’s well done, we have a good time, we connect with the characters. It feels good. I hope there’s a second season!”
According to Tang Boros (4/5):
“A simple and beautiful series, beautiful settings, charming characters and a view of life that touches you! If you want to have a good time, this is the series for you!”
According to Lily (1/5):
“Not believable at all! I quickly gave up because just a few months after losing my entire family, here is this new and jaded teenager going about her life like everyone else with normal worries!”
why does it work
A month after its release, My Life with the Walter Boys is still in the top 10 on Netflix. And for good reason, this romance between The Summer I Became Pretty and Virgin River has all the right ingredients for logical success.
Between the love triangle, moving teenage stories, idyllic setting and family twists, this adaptation of the hit novel had everything for romantic hearts. No wonder the series has been renewed for a second season!
