Co-imagined by American Horror Story creator Brad Falchuk, The Sun Brothers tells the story of a mafia family whose father has just been murdered. Only a small problem: the two brothers, Charles and Bruce, have nothing in common. The first is ready to avenge his father’s memory, and the second leads a quiet and ordinary life in California, not for a second suspecting the role that his family plays in the world of organized crime.
Action scenes with spectacular fights, comedy, misunderstandings… The Sun Brothers is an entertaining series that lives up to its specifications. It has an average rating of 3.5 out of 5 on AlloCiné, but what do viewers think*? A little review is in order.
“The series is a successful mix of genres, with elements of action, comedy and dramaBernard64 writes. The fight scenes are especially fun. The comedy is often subtle and sarcastic, and the characters are all endearing. The drama is also well developed and the plot is fascinating.”
The same enthusiasm comes from Frank W, who adds: “Well paced, nice aesthetics, nicely choreographed, acting and acting is good, you won’t get bored, it’s action. The contrast between the brothers adds to the comedy and how nice it is to see Michelle Yeoh on screen.”
According to Lecter_H, “The success of the series comes from the great break in style between the 2 brothers who create funny and unusual situations“.

This S01 by Sun Brothers is good. The series happily oscillates between comedy (not too heavy) and excellent choreography, the characters are cool (two brothers, a protective mother) and everything is fun around the cultural specificity. pic.twitter.com/LeZiAzhpv2
