Our Dear Neighbors fans mourn: Claudine Ax (Madame Dubray) has left us

Actress Claudine Ax died at the age of 88. At the age of 68, she started working in the cinema, specializing in the roles of older women, and notably participated in the TV series Our Dear Neighbors created by TF1 and its numerous spin-offs.

It was his agent, Ghislaine Zey, who announced his death on December 31: “I have just learned of the death of my actress Claudine Axe on December 31, 2023, aged 88… Claudine has joined Miss Guillaume. In Our Dear Neighbors, Claudine Axe played Solange Dubray, better known as Madame Dubray, a retired and widowed woman with many characters. While he only appeared in seven episodes of the series in seasons 2 and 4, Aks also played the character in several primetime episodes.

In 2020, she played Jeanne de Gaulle in the biopic with Lambert Wilson, but also 30 days at the most, in the following years Tom and Little Nicolas Le Trisor. We just got to see it in theaters in 2023, Growing Up with Vincent McCain and Aisa Maiga.

The actress made her film debut late, playing the role of an old lady in the film Three Little Girls (2004) and starring Alejandro G. In Iñárritu’s film Babel (2006). Then she is one of the four stars of the short-form La Minute Vieille, in which she plays a pious lady who tells more or less funny jokes.
