Great news for Jean-Luc Picard fans. In a podcast interview Happy Sad ConfusedPatrick Stewart confirmed that it is a spin-off film Star Trek: Picard is under development. The actor also said that news on the production is expected to be released soon.
Patrick Stewart has revealed that the script for the new film has already started to be written. “Last night I felt that a script had been written with me in mind to act in it. I’ve been told to expect it in a week or so, and I’m really excited, because it sounds like the kind of experimentation I want to do is going to be essential for this kind of material.
After acting Star Trek: The Next Generation for seven seasons, Stewart returned to the character Star Trek: Picard. The series, available in the Paramount+ catalog, ended last year after three seasons.
