The new signings appear in the potentially starting team; Hugo, Raniele and Garro are prominent names in the team
For the first time in pre-season, coach Mano Menezes has provided clues about the starting team that could start 2024 at Corinthians. On Wednesday (10th), the coach conducted a ball activity and separated two groups on the field. In one of them, the team was seen, at least initially, by the commander as the ideal team to start playing.
In this training session, which took place at coach Joaquim Grava, the presumably starting team was made up of three of the club’s four most recent signings: left-back Hugo, midfielder Raniele and Argentine midfielder Rodrigo Garro. The team was lined up as follows: Cássio; Fagner, Lucas Veríssimo, Caetano and Hugo; Raniele, Maycon, Matheus Araújo and Garro; Romero and Yuri Alberto.
The other signing, left-back Diego Palacios, remained in the team and was considered a reserve. This team, in fact, fielded Carlos Miguel; Rafael Ramos, Rafael Venâncio, Gustavo Vera and Palacios; Matheus Bidu, Roni and Fausto Vera; Rojas, Gustavo Mosquito and Wesley. Defender Raul Gustavo, who just returned from loan, did not train on the pitch, but was present at the coach.
Corinthians returns to training this Thursday, in an activity that again takes place over two shifts, similar to what happened on Wednesday. On Fridays the group trains only in the morning.
