The Walking Dead Trailer: Action and Emotion Flow in Pictures of Rick and Michonne from the New Series

He’s (finally) back! Rick Grimes, who has been missing since Season 9, is preparing to return to The Walking Dead. Of course, not in the main series, which ended in December 2022, but in a spin-off called The Ones Who Live (who is alive In french).

This mini-series will see a sheriff played by Andrew Lincoln being hunted by his lover Michonne (Danai Gurira). The Katan warrior never gave up hope of finding Rick, despite his supposed death in the explosion. Clues left by the latter have provided valuable clues as to its location in the northern United States.

This new program does not adapt the ending of the comics, the series Walking Dead has made many changes compared to the story of the comics. That way, Rick and Michonne never got to pair up, and the Sheriff never left the series in the comics.

The former hero of The Walking Dead was integrated into a mysterious militaristic society, which is now nicknamed the “Three Rings Society” or even “Camp A and B”. To top it off, the character played by Terry O’Quinn (Lost) has never appeared in the universe of the franchise.

Originally, the Rick-centric spin-off was created as a made-for-cinema movie, then a trilogy of TV movies. But finally, the project saw the light of day in the form of a mini-series.

Two more spin-offs aired in 2023: City of the Dead with Negan and Maggie and Daryl Dixon with Norman Reedus (these two series were renewed for Season 2).

The Ones Who Live miniseries will air on AMC starting February 25th. The French broadcaster has not yet been announced.
