According to an investigation by Rádio Uirapuru, at least six people involved have been identified as responsible for the attack on the transport company. Eight search and seizure warrants were executed, resulting in three arrests for receiving stolen goods, trafficking and possession of weapons. During the searches, two weapons and five magazines were seized, as well as drugs and a telephone. The operation extended to the neighborhoods of São José, Victor Isller and Coronel Massot, culminating in the seizure of several drugs, such as hashish, marijuana, cocaine, stasis and skunk.

The crime occurred on December 6, when eight armed criminals surprised the employees of a transport company in Vila Mattos. The action, carried out in the early hours of the morning, resulted in the surrender of the workers, who were placed inside the trunk of a truck. During the operation, near the Escola Interiorana, on the eastern perimeter bank in the Passo Fundo area, a red VW/Spacefox vehicle belonging to an employee was recovered. The action mobilized the Military Brigade, which carried out searches to locate the stolen vehicle and arrest those responsible. To date, no suspects have been arrested in connection with this crime. The victims were taken to the Emergency Police Station (DPPA) for proper registration of the incident.
