Marcos Braz and Bruno Spindel disagree with the position of the coach, who said he had asked the team to return on December 19, 2022

In one of them, both were asked about a statement from the current coach of the Brazilian team, Dorival Júnior, about the Rossoneri team’s vacation period at the end of 2022.
Recently, the professional declared to the “ge” portal. that its technical committee wants the group to perform again on December 19, immediately after the World Cup break in Qatar. Braz and Spindel, however, do not agree with the coach’s version.
“The dirty laundry is washed at home. We don’t talk about issues that are addressed in here. Since he mentioned the issue of the 2022 holidays, it was never his position or that of the technical committee to return on December 19th”, he specified. Spindel.
“It’s a lie on his (Dorival) part,” he added Braz.
Position of the national team coach
Dorival Júnior spoke out about criticism over the length of Flamengo players’ holidays at the end of the 2022 season. At the time, Rubro-Negro had won the Copa do Brasil and the Libertadores.
“Our technical committee had nothing to do with this decision and, on the contrary, had an opinion expressed in a meeting after the title in Guayaquil. Our wish was for the players to reappear on 12/19 (…). Really , it was a topic with dissenting voices and we decided to give the hammer after defining the renewal, but we will not give up this return on the 19th – he said.
The Rossoneri leaders do not agree
Bruno Spindel explained that there were disagreements on the return date, but assured that the final decision will be made together with Marcos Braz. The vice president of football, in turn, sent a message to Dorival and regretted that the commander took so long to take a position on the issue.
“The position of his coaching staff was to (return) on January 3. Marcos and I told the players that the return was on December 26. In a year in which we played almost 80 matches, crushed by the World Cup. ( … ) The decision “December 26 was mine and Marcos’s. Because the decision hasn’t been made. We did not agree with January 3 and ordered it to be resubmitted on December 26,” Spindel said.
“The only regret I have about it is: why did it take 12 months to take a stand? Because there had always been questions from the press about why we returned on December 26th. Then, after beating Flamengo, in final, then you will take a stand. Why didn’t you speak up before? The poor and the poor in Brazilian football navigate well”, Braz said.
