Julia Roberts was interviewed by the screenwriter of A place called Notting Hill (1999), Richard Curtiswho asked the actress if she feels “responsible for other women” when she chooses the roles she plays in film (via Variety).

“I think it has more to do with the things that no represent me,” he replied. roberts. “You know, not to criticize other people’s choices, but for me, not taking my clothes off in a movie or being physically vulnerable is a choice I think I make for myself.
