Ghostbusters 4: a new photo shows the original cast in action

Confirming what everyone already knew, especially those watching Ghostbusters – Beyond (2021), the original cast of the franchise known in Brazil as Ghostbusters will be in the new sequel: Ice apocalypse. A photo published by Empire magazine showed Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Annie Potts appropriately in uniform and in action.

The new photo revealed that Janine, the famous secretary played by Potts, will finally don the original Ghostbusters uniform.

It’s a desperate situation, so they call everyone. It turns out that Janine is quite capable (of getting things done), just like most women when given the chance.

The saga’s return to New York should please older fans of the franchise, as not everyone approved of the last film’s “Further Beyond” trip, which explored rural settings. Like this, Ghostbusters 4 should unite the current generation with the original Ghostbusters. According to the synopsis, a new threat must emerge from an ancient artifact, putting the world at risk of a second ice age.

For Ghostbusters: Ice Apocalypse Finn Wolfhard (Trevor) and Mckenna Grace (Phoebe) also return as the nephews of original member Egon Spengler (played by Harold Ramis in the 1980s originals).

It’s worth noting that, unfortunately, the only member of the originals who won’t physically return is Ramis. The actor died in 2014, at the age of 69, in an emotional scene Furtherthe character reappeared as a ghost.
