MyFrenchFilmFestival 2024: 100% online festival to discover the best of contemporary French-language cinema!

French-language cinema is in the spotlight at the launch of MyFrenchFilmFestival this Friday, January 19. For the 14th year in a row, this meeting for art lovers 7th from the four corners of the world returns with the most exciting selection of feature and short films presented at the biggest international festivals. What makes it special? Everything happens online!

For one month, until February 19, 2024, participating viewers will be able to discover 26 short and feature films from their living room (possibly minus the geoblocking, See all information in the official catalog), which reflects the abundance of French and French-language works in the program: comedies with Le Parfum vert and Super Bourrés, dramas such as À ​​mon Seul Desire and Chien de la Cassade, but also romance, documentaries, animation and heritage.

Beyond the competition, they will also have the pleasure of seeing or re-watching Agnès V.’s Jane B., Agnes Varda’s film portrait of the late British actress and singer Jane Birkin. The festival also wanted to pay tribute to him with its poster!

Short films are available for free worldwide, while feature films are available individually for €1.99 or as a whole for €7.99 per package (excluding possible geoblocking depending on territory).

In Spanish-speaking Latin America, Africa, the Near and Middle East, Russia/CIS, Southeast Asia, Ukraine and the Baltic States (excluding Latvia), the festival is completely free.

This year, the selection is also available on more than 80 partner platforms worldwide, which is a record! In France, viewers will be able to find feature films on Prime Video, Mubi or even Apple TV, while short films will be offered on Dailymotion, YouTube and Facebook.

All films are available with subtitles in 11 languages ​​to allow as many people as possible to participate in the event: German, English, Arabic, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Mandarin and Ukrainian. Some partner platforms also offer a large selection of movies in the following languages: Bahasa Indonesia, Estonian, Georgian, Greek, Hungarian, Latvian, Polish, Swedish, Turkish and Vietnamese.

In the focus of the jury

For this 14th edition, the international jury of MyFrenchFilmFestival will be composed of several cinematographers, starting with the French screenwriter and director Katell Quillévéré (Le Temps d’aimer), who will be surrounded by the Austrian director, the Italian Marie Kreutzer. Directed by Brazilian Lila Hala, Italian actor Pierfrancesco Favino and Moroccan director and actor Fouzi Bensaid.

At the same time, a jury composed of journalists will award a prize to one of the feature films in the competition, and a newly created jury of content creators will award a short film in the competition.
