Jo Sam-dal (Shin Hye-sun) grew up on a small island and spent most of his life living a very simple life. Everyone he meets has worked and lived on the island for years, and they are strongly discouraged from trying anything new: they say that if they left the island to seek a better life, they would fail. For a long time he believed it, but after an accident, which makes her leave the island and end up in Seoul (the capital of South Korea), Sam-dal decides to adopt a new name and start her life from scratch.
She grew up in the field of fashion photography and has become a big name in the local media industry. However, her name gets dragged into a scandal and causes her to lose everything she has worked to achieve: her career, the credibility of her name and her fortune. Devastated, she is forced to return to the island where she grew up, to get back on her feet.
Upon her arrival, all the islanders who know her start gossiping about the girl, so she meets her childhood friend, Cho Yong-pil (Ji Chang-wook). He’s more handsome than ever, charming and determined to show her that the bad experience he went through won’t define the rest of her life. As he helps her gain confidence, the two end up falling in love with her.
