Completely modified, the new generation of the Chevrolet Equinox will coexist with an electric version and has a 177 HP 1.5 engine and all-wheel drive
After almost 3 years without anything new, the Chevrolet Equinox has had major changes in the USA. The American car manufacturer revealed last Tuesday, the 23rd, the new generation of the SUV, which will be sold in parallel with the electric model Equinox EV. Both are expected to arrive in Brazil within the next year.
The look of the new Chevrolet Equinox is the same as what it appeared a few months ago in the homologation photos. The SUV has straighter lines and a more rugged appearance, which follows Chevrolet’s identity in the United States. At the front, the LED headlights are split and the front grille is large. Laterally, the wheels range from 17″ to 20″.

The model debuts in the LT, Active (with off-road appeal) and RS (sporty) versions. At the rear, the taillights have a “T” shape and the roof has a floating appearance. Inside, the finishes feature driver-facing controls and rubberized materials on the console and dashboard. The new Equinox also features an 11″ digital panel and an 11.3″ multimedia center.

Under the hood of the new Chevrolet Equinox there is always the 177 horsepower 1.5 turbo engine. In front-wheel drive versions, the transmission is automatic CVT. In all-wheel drive options, the transmission is a conventional 8-speed automatic.
Pricing for the model has not yet been revealed, but it is expected to hit the American market later this year. Brazil is expected to receive the new Equinox later, by mid-2025.
