Sao Paulo will once again host the tournament’s big decider, the Super Crown, between December 14 and 15
A Street League Skateboarding (SLS) announced this change on Wednesday for the 2024 season. Rayssa Leal being its great star, this year the competition will expand its prize pool and confirm that the city of São Paulo will once again be the stage of the great decision, the Supercrownon December 14th and 15th.
For 2024, the SLS prize pool for its participants will amount to $1.8 million (R$8.88 million at current prices) for the entire year. The champions of the men’s and women’s versions of the tournament will receive USD 100,000 (R$493,000) each. In 2023 Brazil won the men’s and women’s titles, with Giovanni Vianna and Rayssa.
“I’m so excited for SLS this year! It’s incredible to see the Street League continue to shine a light on skateboarders around the world and inspire the next generation. Every competition is a step towards a bigger, bolder future, especially for skateboarding female,” said Rayssa Leal, current SLS champion.
This year there will be eight stages of the SLS, which will visit five countries between February and December. France, USA, Japan, Australia and Brazil will host the 2024 events. New will be the SLS Apex stages, which will be based on classic street obstacles and where the best skateboarders in the world will be able to perform unprecedented maneuvers. Only the six best classified in each genre qualify for these tests. Discover the complete calendar:

- March 30: SLS APEX (USA – Las Vegas)
- April 20th: SLS San Diego (United States – California)
- May 25th: SLS APEX (USA – Las Vegas)
- August, 31: SLS APEX (USA – Las Vegas)
- 12 and 13 October: SLS Australia (location TBD)
- November 23: SLS Tokyo (Japan)
- 14 and 15 December: SLS Super Crown (São Paulo, Brazil)
In 2024 the ranking for the Super Corona will also change. The points system will be used to determine the participants in the big decision in Sao Paulo. Scores will be accumulated phase by phase to choose the finalists.
