What is the Masters of the Air series?
Donald L. Inspired by Miller’s book of the same name, Masters of the Air tells the story of America’s 8th Air Force, responsible for bombing Nazi Germany during World War II.
In addition to the dangerous mission, the men of the 100th Bomb Group (the “Bloody Hundred”) must contend with extreme weather conditions, lack of oxygen, and the horrors of fighting at 25,000 feet.
The series focuses on the story of their aerial exploits, but also on the psychological and emotional impact endured by these young men who paid a high price for the war against the Third Reich.
