Veiga admits that Palmeiras needs to increase its performances

Highlight of the victory against Internacional de Limeira on Wednesday evening (24), Veiga shows dissatisfaction with the team’s performance

The team’s star when he scored two goals in Palmeiras’ 3-2 win over Inter de Limeira this Wednesday, Raphael Veiga was realistic in analyzing the team’s performance at the start of the season. First of all, the player said he understands the moment the team is going through. However, he acknowledged that performance needs to improve.

“We know that we undeniably have a lot to improve. Being the start of the season we will improve. There is commitment from the group. So, like last year, several players coming off the bench helped. Tonight was no different.. And we must valorise not only my goals, but also Rony’s goal and Marcos Rocha’s shot for the decisive goal”, he commented.

The player, however, said he was satisfied with a special goal achieved. With the two goals on Wednesday he reached 45 at Allianz Park.

“My dream was to score a goal against Allianz. Today I have 45. My goal is always to help Palmeiras. So I can only be very happy with these goals.”
