Back in 2015, a year after the release of Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel-Fox released The Fantastic Four in theaters, directed by Josh Trank, with Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell.
Out of 126 reviews posted on August 5, 2015, 31 rated the movie 0.5 out of 5 and 40 gave it a 1 out of 5! Silly, because more than half of the ratings given to the film on the day of its release were disastrous.
These are the reasons why this Marvel movie failed!
Hugo Pesheuri considered himself among the evaluators “really disappointed”Regret “10 minutes of fighting, 1 hour 40 minutes of film”. For Francois R. “This movie doesn’t even deserve the term Nanar because there is no humor (intentional or not) at all.In particular, he cites as an example that “Dialogues are written by a 5-year-old child”.
“Marvel is missing a lot”
“The first hour (…) I found it well explained and interesting”Alice025 wrote and rated the movie 2. “Then they have their power, we see their reaction and how they use their power. Still absorbed in the film, I had a shock in the last 20 minutes! (…) It seems that another director took up the offer. We have one of the worst confrontations I’ve seen it in terms of a superhero movie: funny confrontations, extremely fast, with such stupid lines that we don’t feel a team spirit, or rather a “family” between these heroes.”

Fantastic Four 2015 version
Thomas D wrote in 2015: “It lacks so much of what we love about Marvel: the superheroes, the villains, and the action. It was easy enough to do better than the first one, but they didn’t succeed… This movie is bound to fail!” And indeed, The Fantastic Four only made 167.8 million worldwide for a shooting budget of 120 million (not counting the advertising budget). Fantastic oven!
But then who defended the film?
“A surprising movie, very different from other Marvel superhero movies. It’s more ‘tidy’, psychological and mature”told us by a netizen who has since closed his account. He gave the film a rating of 4 out of 5, which was emphatically justified “(…) Sure, some length and a slightly disappointing final battle, but the freshness of the cast (especially Michael B. Jordan, who maintains a lot of humor and Kate Mara, who shows a much more human side of Suzanne Storm) saves the film a lot.”

Dr. Dom
“Unlike other reviews”wrote to Petillapinoire, “I don’t think I’ve ever seen the same movie, and I’m probably living on planet zero, like in the movie. A few fights and special effects to show teeth: so what? (…) This hors d’ creation is completely respectable, despite a few inevitable clichés. So That, 4 stars can be well paid, but I welcome the initiative to avoid endless battles and an overdose of digital effects, even if they exist.

Michael B. Jordan
Rumor has it that Fox Studios only released Fantastic Four at the time in order to retain the movie rights to the characters. Whether that’s true or not, the question is now settled, as Disney completely absorbed Twentieth Century Fox and thus regained the rights to the Marvel characters that the studio owned: mainly the X-Men, the term “mutant” and The. Four fantastic.
The next film is currently in production and the actor has not yet been officially decided, but Pedro Pascal could play the role of Reed Richards.
