Domingo will also present Gloria Groove’s partnership with Péricles, Seu Jorge’s bout with Mano Brown and Lulu Santos. The shows will be broadcast live on TV

The 25th edition of the Salvador Summer Festival reaches its second and last day this Sunday, the 28th, at the Salvador Exhibition Park. Starting at 3.20pm, the first attraction to take the stage will be the Bahian band Àttooxxá.

The other shows will take place in the “by invitation” format, created last year by the festival’s artistic director, Zé Ricardo. Therefore they introduce themselves, in this order, Gloria Groove invites Péricles, Thiaguinho invites Maria Rita, Lulu Santos calls Gabriel the Thinker, Daniela Mercury invites Ilê Aiyê and Margareth Menezes, Leo Santana invites Luísa Sonza, Caetano Veloso presents Transa, Seu Jorge invites Mano Brown and Teto call Matuê.

A highly anticipated moment for this Sunday: the singer and composer Caetano Veloso will present for the first time in Bahia the show commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of the Transa album. Until now Caetano had only presented this show in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. The Bahian had even announced a radical holiday until March, but he said he couldn’t resist the festival’s invitation.

On Saturday 27th, names such as the American rapper CeeLo Green and the Bahian singer Ivete Sangalo took to the stage of the Salvador Summer Festival: the two performed alone. The rest of the program was in the ‘invite’ format, with Iza inviting Liniker, Baco Exu of the Blues inviting Psirico, Bell Marques inviting Claudia Leitte, Carlinhos Brown & Baiana System and MC Cabelinho inviting TZ da Coronel.

The Salvador Summer Festival shows will be broadcast live and simultaneously on Multishow and Globoplay, with an open signal for non-subscribers this Sunday starting at 3.15pm. TV Globo shows the best of the day after Big Brother Brazil.
