A Better Life Preview: What’s in store for Tuesday 30 January 2024 Episode 17 [SPOILERS]

Julie is jealous

At the Masalia residence, Nisma asks Steve if he finally got his student scholarship. Despite her desperation, she listens to her new friend and goes to his bank account.

Steve can’t believe his eyes: the transfer has been made. Jules, who witnesses the scene, seems to have a hard time accepting the complicity between Steve and his ex-girlfriend, Nisma.

To thank Myrta for her support during this ordeal, Steve decides to give her a bouquet of flowers. Mirta is upset by this delicate attention, but informs her that thanks to Nisma, her case has been confirmed by the scholarship office.

Following Myrta’s advice, Steve decides to offer his bouquet of flowers to Nisma. He seizes this small moment and admits it: “You are the only one who understood my problem perfectly”. As the two students get closer and closer, Jules arrives at the same time. Would he try to separate them?

Ariane is disappointed

Early in the morning, Ariane discovers that Zoe, who spent the night at his house, has abandoned him and stolen his wallet once again. Mad with rage, he rushes to call Eric, the captain of Mistral’s anti-crime squad, to give him a statement.

While he’s on the phone, Zoe breaks into his apartment. Actually, he was just out to buy breakfast.

Later, Ariane meets Eric at the Mistral Bar. She confides in her best friend and admits that she is getting closer to her daughter. However, he is afraid that he can no longer control his emotions.

After a day at work, Ariane meets her daughter for a walk by the sea. As they joke around, Ariane declares: “I wonder if I did the right thing by leaving you.” Disturbed by her mother’s strong words, Zoe leaves without looking back.

At the Mistral police station, the policemen were slowly recovering from the previous day’s setback. After much thought, Samuel shares his new lead with his colleagues: he suspects that Francesco has found refuge in the restaurant he is to open with Barbara. It is an ideal hiding place for him.

Samuel’s trail is followed by the police brigade to find the trail of Francesco. The latter was immediately arrested, and Estelle was released. Francesco is interrogated by Patrick at the police station. Faced with pressure, she finally admits to poisoning herself, then stabs Javad in order to save her relationship.

Meanwhile, Estelle goes to the hospital to check on her ex-boyfriend, Javad. He sits next to her, takes my hand and says: “You have no right to leave me, I can’t stand it”. Suddenly Javad wakes up…
